Sudasa-India's First war Hero. How many would like to read about the first recorded "war Hero" of India?...here it comes....He was Sudasa...Sudasa was a chieftan of a tribe by name Bharathas( yes- the same , from which we call our land as Bharath)....Long time ago approx 20,000 years ago... The Bharathas lived near the banks of River Ravi( or Parushni as told in samskrit)....The area is todays Haryana/punjab plus some parts of rajasthan.....The Bharathas were attacked by ten tribes from the west( Rig Veda VII. 18,33,83 has details about this war)......Fierce battle happenned ,but the Bharathas under Arya Sudasa( Arya meant the noble one-not a race) managed to defeat them.....Many of these defeated ones, moved back further west( most probably Iran/Afghanistan etc)......some of them stayed back......Then - a wonderful thing happenned...usually after a war- the conqureor imposes his culture, his ideas on the vanquised...But Sudasa invited the poets,the intellectuals...
